Wally’s Club is a group of independent service providers committed to providing opportunities for children to increase their social emotional intelligence.
Karrin Grutz holds a B.A. in Psychology with graduate work in Educational Psychology and Special Education. She is a certified child group leader. She has been leading social skills groups in school, clinical, and home settings since 1993. She worked for 12 years as a child therapist and research coordinator at the U.W. Parenting Clinic and as a case manager in the Dept. of Psychosocial Nursing and has led groups at Group Health’s ADHD Clinic and several public and private school classrooms. Karrin also leads play groups with an emphasis on social skills, works privately with children and families as a social skills coach, and is a Sibshop facilitator and playroom coordinator at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Karrin has been with Wally's Club since it's inception, helping to create the program. She is the founder of Wally's Play Group

Terri Hollinsworth, MSW, LICSW is a licensed clinical social worker. Over the past 45 years she has provided support and therapy to children, adolescents and their families. She has worked in a variety of settings which include a psychiatric hospital, a correctional institution, mental health agencies, private and public elementary school settings and a lead therapist for the U.W. Parenting Clinic and Dinosaur School. She has been in private practice for the past twenty years. She is the founder of Wally's Club. Beginning in September 2016, Terri will move from her role as group therapist and co-founder to a role as consultant and occasional sub.

Susan Dorn, M.Ed. is a School Psychologist who currently works at the FAS-DPN Clinic at the University of Washington with a special interest in the social-emotional development of children. She has 2 school-age boys and understands personally the uniqueness that each child brings into this world.
Maria Gerea is a Mother of a former play group member, Coach, and Business Consultant who is joining the Wally's Club team this Summer to help launch the Design Wizards camps. She is passionate about social-emotional education and the idea of using basic Design Thinking techniques as a vehicle to teach collaboration to children. Nicole Hollinsworth, M.S.W., LICSW. Nicole is a licensed clinical social worker and certified school social worker. She has been working with children, adolescents and families for the past 12 years in agency and school settings. She has been a co-leader with Wally's Club for the past 5 years, teaching us many social games and improv. Currently she is in private practice at the Mindful Clinic in Lynwood. Beginning in September, Nicole will move from her role as co-therapist to a role as consultant and sub.

Elizabeth Swarny M. Ed.
Elizabeth Swarny, M.Ed., is a certified school counselor working in the public school system. She has 10 years of experience working with kids in pre-K-5th grade in both public and private school settings. She loves coaching and teaching with Wally’s Playgroup because it helps her develop her skills and learn about what works for kids.
Karin Vaughan is a graduate from the UW College of Engineering with a degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE). Karin was involved in K-12 outreach for HCDE and led several design thinking workshops for middle schoolers across Washington State, including a "build an app" project that is being modified to help push our Design Wizard Workshop attendees with engaging teamwork and collaboration projects. Her capstone project at UW focused on designing a community-building website for young adults on the autism spectrum or with autism-adjacent conditions.
